Job Title: Video Game Design Instructor Children’s Academy
Full/Part Time: Part-Time (Summer only); July 8-August 23, 2024
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Campus: Brooklyn
Reports To: Camp Director
Supervises: Campers ages 6-12
Rate: $35-40/hour
Principal Responsibilities
Develop instruction plan and teach classes in Game Development, Mobile App Builder, Minecraft and/or Coding to help children ages 6-12 unleash their creativity while promoting a fun and safe environment.
An Instructor is also responsible for supervising students, keeping a safe atmosphere and leading activities and games.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Interest in robotics, coding, math, design, communications, video, music and art
High school diploma; college education preferred.
Experience in camping and in supervising children.
Complete required background checks, DOH and camp training.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with children of all ages.
Work independently with little guidance
Have a creative mind and playful nature, are energetic, dependable, friendly and flexible
