Pennymac is looking for an experienced, creative and nimble Video Editor to join our fast paced in-house creative marketing team. As a Video Editor at Pennymac, you will be responsible for editing, producing and organizing a large volume of original content for social media, broadcast and nationwide events. Pennymac is an industry and thought leader and your position will play an important role in our company's success. The video medium is a powerful and critical tool used to convey our company's message, brand voice, products and benefits effectively to internal, B2B, investor and consumer audiences. Break through all the clutter and prepare engaging, succinct content for often complicated subjects and in a contemporary and timely manner. Push creative limits/styles and apply relevant trends and cultural influences to produce topical information that connects with everyone from Millennials to Boomers. To ensure success as an editor at Pennymac, you should have expert knowledge of modern video editing techniques, contemporary style and cutting techniques applicable to both long and short form video, social media trends, etc. Be able to visualize concepts, build a story arc and work according to a strict time schedule and industry regulations. Must also have strong technical skills in video hardware, software, video storage, transcoding, audio, sound design, color grading, basic footage retouching, integration of motion graphics and top notch organization skills. Collaborate across divisions with internal and external partners and be a positive team player and role model.
A Typical Day:- Edit and manage video projects from concept to distribution
- Utilize scripts, storyboards, and strategic planning tools to create effective and timely content
- Collaborate on video shoots for both studio and on-location environments
- Produce content that adheres to, leverages and promotes established Pennymac brand standards and strategies
- Perform required post-production tasks including color correction, application of visual effects, sound design and mixing
- Organize and help structure digital asset management system that is conducive to store and source a large volume of footage
- Create, update and maintain pre-production, production, and post-production checklists and best practices documents
- Communicate with clients, stakeholders, leadership and content participants.
- Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
- Previous work experience as a video editor.
- Strong communication skills to engage and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, leadership, interviewees and other video subjects.
- Understanding of videography principles and techniques plus audio recording for both video and animated content
- Skilled with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects is a bonus
- Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
- Proven track record at delivering timely, accurate, and quality media content in a fast-paced environment
- Project management skills with the ability to manage, prioritize and complete concurrent projects.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and sound judgment
- Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
- Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
- Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
- Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
Salary: $47,000 - $119,000
