The salary range for this position is (insert salary range) based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. Kendo Brands has a hybrid work model with three days in office and two days remote each week.Position Overview:
As the Video Editor you will be responsible for post-production of video content for Fenty Beauty & Skin.
You will partner with Creative Directors in creating compelling videos, translating campaign concepts into compelling video; storytelling based on marketing and business objectives. In this role you will deliver solutions for a diverse range of marketing and omni-channel needs—ranging from product launch campaigns to paid media to Product page videos, you will be hands-on in editing videos with a strong eye for typography and composition
Responsibilities:
• Create story boards and concepts in collaboration with Creative Directors to translate product objectives into compelling videos that are brand right, differentiating us from the marketplace.
• Collaborate closely with Creative Directors to ensure campaign concepts come together to create the best representation of our products and its unique selling points
• Hands on editing quality video content with attention to layout and typography
• Present video treatments /options & edits to Creative Directors; addressing feedback with solution-based creative thinking
• Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with cross-functional teams; marketing, social and other departments whose activities intersect with creative
SKILLS:
• Aware of trends and new ideas within beauty industry, with ability to interpret those into high performing brand right creative
• A strong eye for Digital filmmaking, concepting, and execution of storyboards.
• Strong grasp of digital editing programs such as Adobe Premier, After Effects etc.
• Technical knowledge in cinematography, lighting, and video workflow.
• Understanding of framing & technical constraints in both vertical & horizontal formats
• Ability to understand the nuances of each individual product and concept and edit videos accordingly
• Passion for Art and Beauty.
• Ability to be flexible and to balance business goals with creative vision
• Communicate information effectively with relevant members of the team throughout creative lifecycle
• Ability to meet stringent deadlines, quickly managing changing priorities
• Experience in editing video for full 360 activation across editorial and paid media platforms
• Ability to anticipate workload and communicate proactively to team members
• Superior organizational and communications skills
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Film/Media Production/Graphic Design-related field of study.
• 3+ years experience in a high volume, deadline-driven environment: fashion and technology industry experience.
• Experience in video editing within the beauty landscape.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline driven.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative manner
• Mastery of programs including: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop is a must.
• Understanding of current fashion and beauty trends
• Experience in digital video creation
