Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation's third largest arts center. Comprised of three Art Partners-Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art-there's a role for everyone at The Woodruff.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is seeking a skilled, reliable Video Editor with a strong work ethic and excellent eye for detail. The person in this role will work in collaboration with the ASO's Video Director and will be responsible for editing a regular schedule of 4K multicamera live-captured concerts for release on the ASO's digital platforms and elsewhere, including occasional television broadcasts. This individual will also be assigned editing and content creation for marketing and social media, so ability to capture video is also highly desirable. Fluency with Adobe Premiere Pro, a musical background (preferably including knowledge of classical music), and experience filming interviews and documentary B-roll are ideal qualifications. The individual in this role should have good written and oral communication skills, consistently deliver on deadline, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative performing arts environment where some evenings/weekend work may be required. The ideal team member is a passionate digital storyteller, who can move seamlessly from idea to execution to distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the production and creative teams to create effective and captivating videos and address necessary direction and feedback from all stakeholders
  • Edit feature length concerts and associated content with direction from ASO Video Director
  • Work with content team to capture social, documentary and other storytelling videos and edit to completion
  • Collaborate with Content and Production Manager to keep b-roll and files organized, building a video library
  • Maintain and provide suggestions for improving ASO's studio video equipment set-up as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience
  • Experience with camera operation and sound capture
  • Understanding of social platform best practices
  • Knowledge of classical orchestra music, including reading music is a major benefit

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite-specifically; Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Ability to set up and operate handheld video equipment, including interview subject sound
  • Ability to render motion graphics in 2D to brand standards to illustrate ideas effectively
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Be able to manage multiple projects while also meeting project deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and other graphics and presentation software.
