Job Summary
As a Senior Video Editor, you will play a pivotal role in our team, working on political advertisements that drive debate and help our clients achieve their campaign goals. You will be responsible for editing high-quality video content, combining various elements such as footage, graphics, music, and more to tell compelling stories.
How you’ll make an impact
- Edit high-level video content to effectively convey messages for political clients.
- Take video briefs and scripts through the entire editing process, from conceptualization to final deliverables.
- Create impactful stories that resonate with the target audience and contribute to the success of political campaigns.
- Use strong visual storytelling skills to assemble edits and implement notes from producers and team quickly leads.
- Transform footage from various sources, including shoots and mobile video, into engaging and sharable content.
- Produce videos optimized for social media platforms, including vertical and square formats with mobile delivery in mind.
- Collaborating closely with the Creative Team to execute projects including brainstorming and idea briefings.
- Ingest, log, and organize shot footage for post-production workflows.
- Managing storage of projects and ensuring organization standards and back-ups are properly implemented.
- Understand clients’ project objectives and bring them to life through your editing skills.
- Maintain high production values and standards across all platforms.
Why we’ll love you
- 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in filmmaking, video editing, and animation.
- High proficiency in video editing, color grading, motion graphics, sound design, and video compression codecs.
- Expertise in Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects is essential.
- Working knowledge of other Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Familiarity with color grading programs like DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
- Additional experience in other editing platforms e.g. Final Cut is preferred but not required.
- While not required, familiarity with political clients or political issues is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple editing projects simultaneously.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a creative team.
