In this position…

We are seeking a versatile Video Editor who can support rapid creation of various forms of short form video content focused on internal storytelling, and digital and social content focused on Ford’s software and services offerings. In this role, you will be the day-to-day hands-on editor representing the Ford brand, focused on editing best-in-class videos to explain & sell our products.

You'll have…

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of experience in a professional video editing role/environment
• Social content editing experience
• Entrepreneurial in spirit, with the ability to work in a fast paced, startup environment

Even better, you may have…

• The ideal candidate will have varied experience across at least a couple different brands, and demonstrated versatility in their editing reel.
• Ability to see the big picture and understand the balance of design/creative & commerce
• Previous experience in a new growth, fast paced environment
• Maturity and exceptional communication skills
• Startup experience is preferred

What you'll do…

• Editing & posting content remotely
• Master of Final Cut, with some experience in After Effects
• Able to partner closely with designers & creatives to create compelling content
• Take ownership of independent small scale video production as needed
• Surface new ideas for social content from existing footage
• Contributing to building early stage brand Design systems
• Synthesize briefs & scripts into tight visual storytelling
• Have comfort presenting & advocating for creative
• Highly organized media management; ensuring backup processes are created & used

The Video Editor must be a collaborative team player, while maintaining a strong point of view on development of compelling video content that is mobile & social-first.
