Animator/Video Editor (Freelance)

We are always looking for people who have:

• High attention to detail, and the ability to keep the strategy and client's goals in mind.
  
• Passion about finding the story, nerds out on the latest techniques, and enjoys working as part of a team to develop the right creative based on the client's strategy.
  
• The Editor-Animator role is crucial to the success of our campaigns, as they're responsible for executing on the creative details needed to "bring the story to life."
  
• Our producers will look to you for creative ideas during pre-production, and will trust your judgment and expertise when constructing the video in post.
  

Responsibilities

• Working along with Producers in the creation of Pre-Production assets (Storyboards, Styleboards, etc)
• Being able to execute on those storyboards or design documents to craft an impactful and meaningful piece for the client.
• Have a strong communicative approach to work and are comfortable collaborating with the project team.
• Ensure video/animation projects meet client deadlines (as agreed upon in their contracts).
• Edit video/animation projects to ensure the creative meets the strategic goals

Skills & Competencies

• 3+ years experience in video editing and animation (agency experience a plus)
• Expert with After Effects and Premiere Pro (Experience with Cinema 4D, Element 3D, and other Adobe Software a plus)
• Animation: Kinetic typography, motion iconography, character animation and graphic design
• Strong eye for design & execution
• Highly organized with project files and assets, can adapt to company organizational processes
• A passion for learning and staying current in the industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You're comfortable giving and receiving criticism, both when sharing your ideas and evaluating those of others.
