Job description

We are a small (but growing) local company that runs a membership site that hosts educational video content about dog behavior. We both produce our own content as well as host/distribute content for our outside instructors.

This is a dynamic role that requires candidates to be comfortable wearing multiple hats. You will be responsible for editing video content to create engaging Social Media posts. Preparing larger video projects for distribution on our website. Preparing graphics and promotional materials and posting them on Social Media. Creating and managing email marketing campaigns. Assisting with setting up and running live streams. Occasional on site filming, and occasional larger editing projects. Additionally our platform boasts a large library of content for our members and we are looking for someone who can assist in facilitating a smooth user experience whereby it is easy to find the content needed.

Non-video/graphic tasks may include: Assisting with occasional customer service inquiries. Helping to moderate our private Facebook community (adding new members etc.) Creating (writing/designing) emails through Mailchimp.

Most work can be done from home and on a flexible schedule. Some projects will require on-site filming and a fixed schedule.

Specific Tasks Include:

  • Creating engaging promotional videos and graphics for Social Media from existing content and courses.
  • Assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading to a computer, hard drive, and cloud.
  • Editing Raw footage into engaging educational courses.
  • Balancing audio prior to uploading new projects.
  • Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music
  • Inputting graphics (including motion graphics) to enhance footage
  • Improving and correcting lighting, coloring, and faulty footage
  • Working closely with team members to present a final product that matches our brand and vision
  • Organize assets for easy team collaboration
  • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Setup and/or breakdown of lighting, audio, backgrounds, and professional camera equipment as needed
  • Setting up live stream events on our platform assisting on the back-end during streams.
  • Reviewing videos submitted by our instructors and preparing them for upload.
  • Stay informed, dedicated, and committed to industry trends and best practices to tell stories and engage viewers on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

Schedule: Mostly flexible, 10-20 per week on average, with potential for growth to full-time and/or increased salary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
