Position Information
The Video Coordinator will support NDSU's mission through producing video content to tell the North Dakota State University story. The Video Coordinator will research projects to determine needs; set up and direct studio and on-location video shoots; operate camera, sound and lighting equipment; and transform raw footage into compelling stories through post-production, editing, mixing and graphics. The videos will be used to generate inquiries, engage prospective and current students/families, connect alumni and solidify community partnerships. In addition to the creation of video content, the Video Coordinator will manage a video database and the NDSU Office Youtube channel.
This position will assist with project management and will identify the purpose and intended outcomes of projects; ensure content enhances and strengthens understanding of institutional messages; coordinate with internal and external participants; and act as liaison between clients and other members of the marketing team.
Advertised Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A.S. degree in a related field (communication, film production, broadcasting, or relevant related field), or the equivalent
- One year of experience creating and managing video content
- Proven skills with post-production editing software, such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud products (Premier Pro, After Effects, etc.)
- Specialized knowledge in non-linear video editing, videography and video production
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. degreein a related field (communication, film production, broadcasting, or relevant related field)
- 3-5 years experience creating and managing video content
- Experience with higher education marketing
