Marmon Foodservice Technologies is seeking an experienced Vice President of Research & Development who will build, grow and lead engineers across multiple product teams and platforms. In this role, the successful candidate will bring operational leadership, technical expertise, and proven people development skills to bear on strategic decisions in order to develop and lead the business's technical ecosystem, product, innovation and technology roadmap and engineering culture. A deep expertise in implementing development processes to drive team execution and meet business goals is critical. This role will be a key member of the Americas leadership team, reporting to the President MFT Americas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement mid- and long-term business development strategies, execution plans and programs to achieve business objectives and deliver sustainable growth.
  • Establish processes and standards to report against key metrics with a focus on continuous improvement while investing in capability to deliver greater sustainable growth.
  • Use strong organizational leadership skills and growth-oriented mindset to lead, motivate and inspire teams of engineers to deliver reliable solutions and products and be held accountable for their performance.
  • Recruit, retain and develop great engineers who form cohesive teams capable of learning and growing.
  • Influence the development of and lead the implementation of the business' technology and product roadmap from a technical engineering perspective to meet business objectives and deliver on customer requirements.
  • Lead, manage, oversee and support the overall technical design, testing, regulatory compliance, product lifecycle maintenance and production systems across our engineering function.
  • Lead, advise and enhance an agile and standards-driven practice across teams in planning, design, development, testing and release products and solutions, while keeping up with market trends and advancements.
  • Lead a team to enhance the innovative potential of the business developing, strategizing, and planning new interventions that will drive innovation. Create and oversee a comprehensive long-term innovation strategy for the company
  • Develop and deploy a structured methodology to manage change initiatives to enable a successful transformation of the R&D organization and culture throughout the business supporting close alignment with all stakeholders and the Marmon Foodservice Technologies company culture and objectives.
  • Manage all technical Intellectual Property rights in collaboration with Legal and third-party stakeholders.

Required Qualifications, Skills/Competencies
  • Demonstrable experience in a commensurate leadership role.
  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree with 15 years' experience designing complex engineered electro-mechanical residential or commercial appliances across multiple categories.
