Department Overview
The Planning & Operations ("P&O") Group drives planning, analytics, Data Management and technology projects while providing operational support for the Investor Partners Group ("IPG"), which has primary responsibility for all of Golub Capital's business development and client relationship management activities. The team possesses both a deep understanding of IPG's needs as well as a strong set of unique technical expertise. The Data Management subgroup is responsible for making data readily available in order to empower and simplify the IPG's ability to make data-driven decisions. The team collaborates closely with other IPG Teams and Technology Solutions ("TS") to support the department in developing and executing plans in line with Firm objectives.
Position Responsibilities
  • Project managing data governance initiatives
  • Documenting data standards and quality metrics used to drive accountability and awareness across IPG
  • Collaborating with Golub Capital's data governance team members to review data protection guidelines and improve their adoption
  • Ensuring compliance with data governance standards for all new reports and data fields
  • Finding opportunities for data quality process improvement and collaborating with colleagues and business partners to design solutions
  • Creating and maintaining the definitions of key IPG business terms in the firmwide data glossary; running the annual review process, identifying gaps in glossary terms and reviewing the submission of new terms
  • Reviewing data change requests and ensuring timely completion
  • Building a detailed understanding of business processes and how data impacts business partners
  • Proactively engaging domain experts to achieve goals

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years of experience defining and maintaining Data Management and governance responsibilities
  • Experience leading and driving large sized projects and solid understanding of project management principles is required
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerBI and SQL
  • Strong data analysis and process improvement skills are required
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience supporting a sales organization and CRM platform; Microsoft Dynamics is preferred

Compensation and Benefits
For New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $180,000 to $220,000 for a Vice President and $155,000 to $180,000 for an Assistant Vice President. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
