Accountant

Midwest Professional Staffing is partnering with Des Moines based organization looking for a full cycle Accountant. This role will report operate mostly independently, but have the support and back up of a small team. Duties
* Prepare, post, and reconcile general ledger
* Complete journal entries, accruals, and analysis
* Prepare month end and quarter end reports
* Maintain accounts payable
* Process expense reports
* Assist with A/R, including complex billings
* Special projects depending on experience and ad-hoc reporting
Qualifications
* 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
* Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred, or experience in lieu
* Strong Excel skills, pivot tables and v-lookups
* Ability to work independently
* Strong attention to detail
$60,000 - $72,000
