SalaryWe are looking for a passionate and experienced VP of Operations that will oversee all business and operations for Casa Nela restaurants: Bobo, Rosemary’s West and East, Claudette and Roey’s. The position will be responsible for $30 million+ in revenue across the five locations, by creating and implementing strategy for the directors and operational teams. As Casa Nela opens two more locations in the next 12 months, this position's scope will also expand to include building out critical paths for these projects from conception to opening and ongoing day to day oversight.
This is a critical leadership role in the company, requiring the highest standards of performance to provide an internal role model and example of the company’s values. The position is responsible for achieving both financial and qualitative performance targets as well as building the path for Casa Nela's long-term growth.
The person we are looking for must demonstrate strong communication skills and leadership abilities, be capable of flexibility, able to adapt and adjust strategies and operations in response to changing demands, have a passion for creating guest experiences around food & wine, enjoy finding new ways to solve problems, have an iron clad integrity, and love being around people!
Preferred candidates will possess the following:
- An infectious passion for and knowledge of Italian and French cuisine and wine
- A strong, proven track record of developing leaders
- At least 3-5 years experience managing multi unit locations at an executive level with revenue of $30 million+
- Adept negotiation skills to manage and navigate difficult conversations with the owner, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and effectively manage crisis situations, providing stability and reassurance to the team
- Strong decision-making skills to make tough choices when required and guide the organization through uncertainties
- Experience at an executive level with new restaurant opening responsibilities such as hiring and training employees and leadership, implementing new systems, policies and procedure
- Experience at an executive level with moving into new and evolving markets.
- An advanced understanding of restaurant financial models, budgeting, expense management and P&L analysis
- Empathy to understand the owner's perspective and challenges, while also considering the well-being and motivation of the rest of the team
- Effective time management skills to balance multiple priorities and ensure that operational goals are met despite challenging circumstances
- Commitment to ethical business practices and integrity, even in challenging situations, to uphold the restaurant group's reputation
- Be able to work a varied schedule that may inclide nights, weekends, and holidays as business dictates and travel out of state freely for periods of time while new openings are in progress
