Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration and operations of the Chamber, to assure a smooth and efficient work environment.
Provide the President with timely updates related to all pertinent aspects of the Chamber business.
Supervise Chamber staff as directed by the President.
Assist the President in preparation of budgets, and business plans. Assist with monitoring Accounts Receivable.
Engage and manage Chamber volunteers, support and guide the work of Chamber Committees and Councils.
Assist the President in the implementation of the Chamber’s Strategic Plan.
Support the President in enhancing the Chamber’s community profile in the media and enhancing existing relationships with community partners and developing new strategic partnerships and relationships.
Oversee the planning and execution of the complete line up of Chamber events.
Support the President in Membership goals by retaining and recruiting members throughout the 10 town area of Greater Danbury.
Assist the President with the Chamber’s advocacy efforts.
Facilitate the overall Leadership Danbury program and serve as main point of contact for this program.
Assist in relevant workforce development initiatives including the NRWIB BSU and Regional Sector Partnerships in conjunction with the Workforce Board.
Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Responsibilities: Perform all other duties and activities relating to Chamber matters and overall business development as by the President.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Requires and Master’s Degree preferred.
Must be a self-starter, motivated and possess a sense of ownership and responsibility. Professional appearance; public speaking and presentation skills; leadership abilities to facilitate & moderate meetings; strong written and verbal communication skills. Connections to local businesses in the community as well as the media.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.; Ability to work in a team environment.

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
