POSITION SUMMARY
Roman Catholic High School's Mission Advancement Office is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Vice President of Mission Advancement. Reporting directly to the President and working closely with the Chair of the Development Committee of the Board of Directors, the Vice President will serve as the chief development officer and will provide leadership for securing public and private support to advance the mission of the School. The Vice President will manage the Advancement staff, set goals, cultivate relationships, and determine strategic planning strategies for fundraising.
The position of Vice President requires an organized, balanced, engaging person who is positive, creative, and progressive. The successful candidate will be a professional fundraiser who has demonstrated proven success and is a team-builder who can manage and inspire the staff in the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties:
• Effectively coordinate the daily management of the Mission Advancement Office and assist the President in all areas of advancement.
• Responsible for the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of individual prospects for major gifts and EITC/OSTC participation.
• Facilitate outreach to alumni and business & civic community leaders to maintain and improve the prospect list and encourage philanthropic support.
• Monitor the research and preparation of materials for gift solicitations.
• Oversee execution of Advancement events as planned by staff.
• Oversee and review the preparation of newsletters, giving & campaign reports, e-newsletters, and other communications as needed.
• Facilitate the planning and monitoring of the annual Advancement budget including, but not limited to, the monitoring of all checking and investment accounts in conjunction with the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors and the Treasurer of the Alumni Association.
• Develop, in conjunction with the President and Chair of the Development Committee of the Board, annual goals and strategies to be presented to the Board for approval.
• Coordinate the building of the Advancement Master Calendar and facilitate the quarterly Board Meetings.
• Responsible for the identification, hiring, and training of individuals needed for the Advancement operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
