We are currently seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to assume the position of Vice President of People & Culture for our Philadelphia-based client, a nationwide company specializing in custom furniture and fabrication as well as magnetic shielding.
Position Overview
Our client is looking for an accomplished and strategic HR leader to join their dynamic organization as Vice President of People & Culture. Key Responsibilities:
People and Culture Strategy
- Develop and implement a forward-thinking HR strategic plan aligned with business objectives.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Leadership team, providing innovative insights and solutions that support business objectives.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of a robust succession plan, ensuring seamless leadership transitions that align with organizational strategy and culture.
- Provide dynamic leadership to the HR team, fostering a continuous learning environment and optimizing HR processes for strategic effectiveness.
Workplace Culture and Talent Development
- Lead the development of programs and initiatives that foster a culture of accountability, diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating an environment of trust and recognition.
- Drive organization-wide initiatives for a healthy workplace culture, ensuring all associates feel valued and take ownership of their work.
- Develop initiatives for the acquisition and integration of diverse workgroups and cultures.
- Implement progressive approaches to assimilate high-potential talent throughout the global organization through career pathing, learning and development, and competitive compensation and benefits.
Organizational Effectiveness
- Oversee the global organization, identifying opportunities to expand or realign the HR team.
- Shape a competitive compensation and benefits strategy that positions the organization competitively within the talent market.
- Develop metrics and analytics to measure HR operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to understand organizational structures, identifying development and realignment opportunities to prevent duplication of activities.
Compliance
- Provide guidance and counsel to managers to ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees and compliance with regulations.
- Partner with legal counsel to ensure compliance and mitigate organizational risks.
- Lead HR-related customer audits and unemployment claims.
- Ensure policies and procedures align with the organization's Affirmative Action Plan and support AAP audit responsibilities.
- Work with HR consultants to ensure all policies are up-to-date and compliant with governmental requirements.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development, or a relevant field.
- Advanced Human Resources Certification (SPHR, SCP, GPHR).
- Minimum of 5 years in a progressive HR leadership role within a dynamic global organization.
- Minimum of 10 years of broad HR Generalist experience with a passion for DEI initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of and experience working within a People Operations model.
- Prior experience within the manufacturing or distribution industry.

Location and Travel: This is a hybrid-remote position based in Philadelphia, PA. Additional travel may be required on a quarterly basis.
