Representing more than 333 credit unions with more than $120+ billion in assets and more than 10.1 million members, the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU) is the trade association for Alabama, Florida, and Georgia credit unions. We provide advocacy, compliance support, education, training, and information with relevant services and business strategies to support our members in fulfilling their mission. LEVERAGE, the for-profit affiliate of the LSCU, provides best-in-class products and services for credit unions across the country. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

A results driven leader who will grow and develop new and existing business for EFT Debit, Credit, Rewards, Gift Cards and Chargeback Recovery Services.  This person will build relationships in effort to maintain and grow the portfolio while keeping the service corporation competitive through negotiations, the RFP process, and exceptional client service.  The VP of Payments will keep current on the industry and competitors to ensure we act appropriately on new trends and developments. This person will make sales calls and program presentations, as necessary. 

The VP of Payments directly supervises three key roles: The Director of Consultative Services, Strategic Account Manager, and portfolio consultants and serves on the organization's management team.

 

WHAT YOU'LL TAKE OWNERSHIP OF:

  • Developing and implementing new client business for LSCU Service Corporation's EFT solutions.
  • Developing and maintain excellent working relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Evaluating overall processing needs of existing and potential clients to ensure LEVERAGE remains an integral part of their processing environment.
  • Ensuring the operational support for clients is effective and efficient for all product lines including debit, credit, and chargeback (CRS).
  • Evaluating current products and potential products to recommend and implement changes and additions to make LEVERAGE products relevant to clients.
  • Working closely with existing clients to recommend best practices for marketing and growing their transaction volume in alignment with the clients' strategic plan.
  • Providing managerial support for the CRS and credit solutions; working with teams to ensure future viability and to develop options to grow the business.
  • Developing and executing a strategy for contract renewals that retain current relationships.
  • Completing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) as requested from new and/or existing clients.
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing, terms and conditions, and other needs of clients.
  • Managing client expectations to ensure clear and consistent understanding of LEVERAGE'S system functions.
  • Providing regular updates to senior management, including prospect status and travel schedule
  • Researching and tracking competitors' products and pricing, including new trends and developments in the industry.
  • Developing and managing the department budget and operational plan.
  • Attending and participating in state, regional, and national meetings/conferences as authorized by COO.

 

NEED TO HAVES:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year institution in marketing, business, finance, management, or other suitable degree.
  • At least five (5) years of EFT-related experience
  • At least three (3) years' experience supervising management level employees.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all facets of electronic service delivery systems.
  • Knowledge of financial spreadsheet software and its use.
  • Consultative sales approach required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a Microsoft Office environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communications skills.
  • Professional, well-developed, persuasive interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner to internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to be initiative, use good judgment, be resourceful, and dependable.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and deal with multi-faceted problems or situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, sometimes with conflicting deadlines.

 

LOVE TO HAVES:

  • Knowledge and understanding of history, development, and philosophy of credit union movement

TRAVEL:

  • Frequent travel, mainly within Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Airline travel is required.
