    Job Summary:

    The Vice President of Fraud is a key leadership position reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer.

    As VP Fraud, you'll solve a diverse set of problems, including seamless identity verification, detection, automation and education, working cross-functionally to develop unique and innovative ways to disincentivize bad customer behaviors and incentivize good ones. Through Operations, Investigations & Intelligence, Policy, Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams, you'll maintain marketplace integrity, innovate on product solutions, and influence other product leaders to make Fraud management and prevention central to our entire product design and development process. This role will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer.

    Develop and implement a comprehensive risk mitigation strategy, overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of potential threats to all properties integrity. You'll take charge of proactively addressing emerging risks, ensuring a secure environment for users, and safeguarding Wolfe's reputation. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to set long term objectives, critical metrics, and closely track progress against the team's goals.

    You'll collaborate with Data, Customer Service, Security, Engineering, and across Wolfe's product teams to protect our business and our customers safe from fraud, scams and other malicious activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Leadership and Team Oversight:

    • Lead the Fraud team, setting strategic directions and driving operational excellence within the functional area.
    • Oversee comprehensive fraud management strategies that align with the company's broader goals, industry best practices, and the overarching security framework.

    Strategic Planning and Complexity Management:

    • Develop strategic plans to ensure achievement of objectives across the Fraud team, incorporating an in-depth understanding of the company, competitive environment, technology, products, and the economic or social implications of company activities.
    • Participate actively in the development of company strategies, priorities, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people, ensuring alignment with the Fraud team's goals.

    Vision, Direction, and Resource Allocation:

    • Set vision, direction, and resource allocation for the Fraud team, managing multiple functions and ensuring the team's alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the Fraud team, overseeing and approving administrative, operational, and budgetary decisions.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration and Team Management:

    • Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team, ensuring alignment with the company's core values and security objectives.
    • Work closely with internal teams, such as all products, Sales, Customer Care, Security and Legal, and maintain relationships with external partners to stay at the forefront of Fraud trends and implement best practices.

    Reporting, Communication, and Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Provide leadership and direction to the Fraud team, effectively communicating complex issues and strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Provide regular reports to the senior management, and the board on the status of Fraud risks, management strategies, and the effectiveness of Fraud prevention initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications in fraud management would be highly regarded.
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in fraud management, with a significant track record in a senior leadership role, managing and mitigating fraud risks in a dynamic and complex environment.
    • Experience in the gift card industry is preferred, with a comprehensive understanding of the specific challenges and risks associated with this sector.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, capable of interpreting complex data and translating it into actionable, strategic decisions.
    • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with experience in leading and developing a cohesive and high-performing team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels and reflecting the company's core values in all interactions.
    • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines related to fraud and risk management.
    • Demonstrated alignment with the company's core values, showing a commitment to drive, integrity, teamwork, caring, and excellence in all aspects of the role.
