Responsibilities
The position is within the Expense Management & Analysis (EM&A) sub-department of the Fund Accounting & Operations department.
This resource will lead and oversee Accounts Payable (AP) operations, with a priority towards improving Supplier Management, reporting & analysis, and day-to-day operations.
Typical responsibilities will include:
  • Lead special projects to enhance Accounts Payable and be responsible for successful outcomes by assessing progress against timelines and communicating to leadership, key partners, and internal customers. Projects include:
    • Vendor Management Pilot and subsequent implementation into day-to-day operations
      • Partner with Risk Management, Legal, Corporate Services team to launch a unified vendor program, connecting Venminder (Risk), Sirion Labs (Contracts), Supplier IO (Diversity), and Workday (AP) into one cohesive workflow
    • Implementation of Workday Purchase Order program
      • Partner with Corporate Services team to develop a new firm-wide program for Purchase Orders in collaboration with the Vendor Management pilot
    • Active management of AP Suppliers
    • AP's role in Workday Financials Implementation
      • Aid in pre-work necessary including process improvement and providing the business requirements for reporting/databases
  • Supervise Accounts Payable day-to-day operations by our global teams, including the identification/implementation of improvements. Design an operational model to support and improve the following:
    • Invoice & expense report processing
      • Design and analyze Workday reports and KPIs
      • Oversee volume and throughput
      • Support internal customer service
    • Supplier Management
      • Report and analyze supplier metrics: spend, volume of activity, frequency of use, services provided, coding
      • Analyze suppliers for dormancy and redundancy of services
      • 1099 issuance
    • Invoice payments & employee reimbursements
      • Monitor bank activity and integrations
      • Seek to improve processing time to payment with corporate liquidity in mind
    • Maintain Reporting Partnerships with
      • Corporate Accounting to report on corporate payables
      • FP&A to analyze spend trends and operational accuracy
      • Vendor Management to provide supplier information
      • Firmwide expense owners with KPIs and custom analyses
      • Travel around Travel & Entertainment policy adherence
    • Miscellaneous including
      • Oversee AP Workday dashboards
      • Buildout training materials for invoice coders and approvers
      • Buildout purchase card policies, procedures, and education
      • Manage unclaimed property payments
      • Educate Workday coders and approvers

Qualifications
  • 11+ years Accounts Payable experience within the financial services industry, preferably in the investment management industry
  • Experience in Workday preferred
  • Experience with vendor management and onboarding tools
  • Experience with large sets of data
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio

Education
Bachelor's degree required.
Base Salary Range
$145,000 - $170,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
