Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for a Vice President Finance to join our team based out of the Portsmouth, NH office.
Position Overview:
The VP Finance will build and lead a high performing finance and accounting organization to support Laborie's growth strategy with a focus on strong, proactive compliance and controls. The VP will operate as a business partner to the CEO and CFO, to executive management and audit committee, and will focus on delivering cost effective, scalable global processes. This role will operate with a high degree of business acumen with demonstrated ability to assess complex transactions from a technical accounting and tax perspective and functional excellence in financial reporting, cost accounting and accounting compliance. A strong interest and ability to drive process and system improvements globally is essential.
How you contribute:

  • Responsibility to lead global accounting including shared services (AR/AP/payroll/GL).
  • Integrate the financial shared services structure into a practical approach for Laborie drawing from best practices from current and external finance processes.
  • Support CFO with design of finance organization and service delivery model required to achieve aggressive top, bottom line growth strategies over 3-5 years.
  • Support CFO and FP&A team with budget process and long-range plan.
  • Assess global internal controls over financial reporting, identify gaps, develop remediation plans.
  • Own audit and tax relationships to drive efficient and cost-effective audit, bank and tax compliance.
  • Support all accounting and tax elements of complex transactions including M&A and commercial/operational arrangements.
  • Drive cash management disciplines (rolling forecasts, working capital reduction).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with 15+ years of experience. CPA required, MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years-experience in finance leadership roles (VP/director level) with global, middle-market manufacturing businesses, 15+ years total experience. Medical device and private equity experience preferred.
  • Shared services management and acquisition integration experience required. SAP implementation experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success diagnosing people, process and controls and implementing programs to rapidly improve financial operations in environments where teams, process and systems require significant maturation and evolution.
  • Strong leader yet hands-on executor, capable of building teams around him/her yet comfortable in details while basics built out. Leverages 3rd party resources efficiently and within established budgets.
  • Thrives in environments undergoing high degree of evolution and change, able to form strong relationships with executive team, peer group and team. Drives accountability to goals, holds high standards while building a positive environment. Establishes credibility quickly.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, with a demonstrated competency in crafting the financial story and clearly communicating complex data to non-financial stakeholders.
