ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:
Ascension is looking for an experienced Vice President, Demand Marketing to oversee and drive our consumer growth and retention. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct-to-consumer marketing and digital campaign activation - including performance-driven tactical development to support growth KPIs, CRM journey-based engagement, and digital and web marketing within a consumer brand or direct-to-consumer company. This role is instrumental in advancing Ascension’s marketing and consumer engagement strategy
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Marketing and Performance: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to drive targeted marketing campaigns, segmentation, and personalization for marketing performance that meets business goals
- CRM Campaigns: Help develop and execute journey-based CRM campaigns that nurture customer relationships, drive engagement, and support organizational goals for conversion, retention and relationship building.
- Targeted Digital Marketing: Guide activation of paid media advertising for targeted consumer engagement, including targeted digital, targeted video, SEM, paid social, and other channels / tactics.
- Web Marketing: Guide activation of web marketing strategies and operations, including website management, content optimization, and online conversion.
- Search Optimization: Guide activation of SEO best practice across significant content infrastructure, including online content optimization across audiences as well as offsite and local search strategies.
- Online Reputation Management: Guide activation of Google Business Profile listings, ratings and reviews, online reputation and community management as well as alignment with consumer experience and service recovery.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to the marketing team, setting goals, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with Ascension’s mission and growth goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, operations, clinical, technologies, studio, consumer experience, and data analytics, to ensure alignment and execution of marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required. A master's degree in Marketing or Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
- Extensive Marketing Leadership: A minimum of 15 - 20 years of progressive leadership experience in marketing roles, with a strong emphasis on strategic marketing, CRM campaigns, customer engagement, and digital and web marketing.
- Campaign Strategy Development: Proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive campaign strategies aligned with customer journeys, demonstrating an understanding of customer segmentation and targeting.
- Omni-Channel Digital Lead Generation: Demonstrated expertise in managing omni-channel digital lead generation campaigns, leveraging a mix of digital channels to drive lead acquisition and conversion.
- Demand Waterfall Management: Strong experience overseeing demand waterfalls, including lead scoring, nurturing, and conversion processes, to optimize lead management and conversion rates.
- Marketing KPIs: Proficiency in defining, monitoring, and analyzing marketing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign success and make data-driven decisions.
- Salesforce Marketing Automation: Hands-on experience with Salesforce marketing automation tools, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, for campaign development, automation, and optimization.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a substantial team of 40+ data, CRM, content, and campaign professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work culture.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, IT, and data analytics, to ensure alignment and execution of marketing strategies.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and metrics to inform marketing strategies and refine campaign tactics.
- Content Strategy: Proficiency in developing content strategies that support lead generation and nurture campaigns, including content creation, distribution, and optimization.
- Digital Marketing Expertise: In-depth knowledge of digital marketing principles, encompassing online advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Budget Management: Experience managing marketing budgets, effectively allocating resources, and optimizing spend to achieve marketing goals.
- Change Management: Adaptability and the ability to manage change within a dynamic marketing landscape, staying current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Candidates should provide clear examples of how they have demonstrated these qualifications in their previous roles and articulate how their experience aligns with the specific needs of the Vice President, Demand Marketing position at Ascension.
Additional Information:
This position oversees a team of digital marketing activation professionals, responsible for data analysis, CRM system management, and marketing data-related functions. The Vice President of Demand Marketing will provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to this team to ensure the successful execution of data-driven marketing initiatives and campaigns.
RequirementsEducation:
- Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 4 of those years being in leadership/management. OR 7 years of experience required. 10 years of experience preferred. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
