- Developing and implementing data-driven strategies: Is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive data-driven strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives. They work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Leading a team of Data and Analytics experts: Builds and leads a team of experts and provides guidance and mentorship to help them achieve their goals. They are responsible for hiring, training, and managing the performance of their team.
- Business Intelligence & Analytics: Will provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making across different business functions and will deliver high-quality analytics solutions.
- Establishing strong relationships with stakeholders: Builds strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure that data-driven strategies are aligned with business objectives. They work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven solutions to help them achieve their goals.
- Data Empowerment & Self-Service Analytics: Is responsible for the empowerment of users to maximize their skills and use of data assets and to create a self-service analytics strategy.
- Driving innovation: Is responsible for driving innovation within the organization by identifying new opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions. They stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data science and apply them to the organization’s needs.
- Ensuring data quality and accuracy: Is responsible for ensuring that the data used by the organization is of high quality and accuracy. They work with stakeholders to establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure that data is collected, stored, and analyzed in a consistent and reliable manner.
- Performance Metrics: Will define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of Data and Analytics initiatives.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovations in Data and Analytics.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- 8+ years’ experience running a Data & Analytics organization.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward achieving organizational goals.
- A strategic thinker who can align Data and Analytics initiatives with the overall business strategy.
- Proven track record of implementing cohesive data strategies that results in accurate data repositories that can be used effectively by all levels of the organization, ideally with scientific data experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, machine learning, big data technologies and other relevant analytics tools.
- Understanding of businesses processes and the ability to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value.
- This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
