Job description

The Banking Chief Data Office is looking for a AI Product Manager to support the use case development for AI use cases (including but not limited to Generative AI) in Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A and Coverage. The group focuses on solving business problems through the use of data and powered by AI and ML.

Job Summary

As a Vice President, Senior New AIML Product Manager in the Data & AIProduct Team, you will have the unique opportunity to be a critical player in our business-wide transformational efforts to shape up the future of Investment Banking. You will be a key member of a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, architects, designers and project managers and will have the chance to shape your product's vision, strategy, adoption, and manage ongoing stakeholder demand. You will push the boundaries of what is possible and innovate quickly in a rapidly evolving field.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in the product journey, help define the use cases of AI in particular Gen AI, through thorough understanding of the needs of businesses.
  • Help define a vision & roadmap for the product(s) and being the evangelist for that vision across functions
  • Working with stakeholders across the various businesses (ECM, DCM, M&A and Coverage) and functional groups (Technology, Legal and Operations) to understand requirements
  • Managing and prioritize initiatives that are requested by stakeholders
  • Provide training, on AI Products, be speaker for and champion matters related to Gen AI usage within the Investment and Corporate Bank
  • Providing updates on the project status to senior management and stakeholders
  • Connect the dots across various business lines and identify common needs and trends.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in product management specifically in AIML products for consumers
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to help build and sell a product vision
  • Strong track record of owning and developing a product domain strategyand roadmap. Able to balance short-term goals and long-term vision.
  • Experience capturing and analyzing requirements (internal and external) and translating them into a viable product through agile development is a must.
  • Able to build strong partnerships with technical teams. Knowledge of the data ecosystem, spanning from data ingestion, data engineering, data quality, data orchestration, end to end infrastructure, usage/consumption and data privacy considerations and governance
  • Strong understanding of data products and development of AI Products; strong understanding of Large Language Models

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Proven experience with Operations and/or Front Office and/or Consulting within investment banking industry is a plus
  • Startup Experience or having rolled out conversational or search products hugely beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of MS tools; Excel, PowerPoint, Python
  • Experience in industrial design and/or ethnography is helpful but not necessary
  • Experienced hands on prototyping & working with design / engineering teams a huge plus
  • Strong ability to work with senior leadership team
  • Masters in AI or related area, demonstrated interest in applying that in financial services
