As a Veterinary Technician/Assistant (duties vary according to licensure):

- You will assist the doctors in treatments and safely approach/restrain cooperative patients as needed during treatments.
- You will provide routine attention to patients, including walking dogs.
- You observe patients for obvious signs of health concerns and report any findings to senior staff.
- You can effectively clean and maintain hospital equipment and tools.
- You will quantify patient voids and report findings to senior Veterinary Assistant or Technician.
- You will remove and wash soiled laundry and keep clean laundry stocked.
- You will patrol facility regularly to ensure cleanliness.
- You will complete daily checklists as set up by your Supervisor.
- You will perform other duties, as assigned, by your Supervisor.

Kennel Assistant needed and will be responsible for the day-to-day care of hospitalized patients, under the direction of the doctors and veterinary clinical manager. This includes feeding, watering, walking, bathing, trimming nails, basic grooming and monitoring the well being of the hospitalized dogs and cats, as well as, cleaning and disinfecting of all patient cages, kennels and treatment stations. Kennel assistants must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects, the dexterity and confidence to handle and restrain animals, the ability to correctly administer medications as directed by the veterinarians and owners, and the ability to monitor pets for signs of distress or illness. It is essential that they have the ability and willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for the hospitalized pets. A genuine love for the care and comfort of animals is necessary to perform kennel duties. Kennel assistants are responsible for maintaining an excellent level of cleanliness of patients and their enclosures and also performs many of the routine janitorial tasks throughout the hospital such as housekeeping duties and garbage collection to ensure that our hospital remains extremely clean. Kennel Assistants restock supplies, inventory and assists the veterinarians and technicians, as needed. Kennel Assistants must be proficient or possess the ability to become proficient in the areas of client communication and are independent, conscientious, multitask-oriented workers.
