Job description

Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop X-rays
- Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring of patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress

Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and animal husbandry
- Proficiency in performing basic veterinary procedures, such as administering medications, taking X-rays, and performing laboratory tests
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during surgeries and procedures
- Ability to handle dogs and other animals safely and effectively
- Experience in kennel or pet grooming is a plus

As a Lead Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians in medical procedures, performing laboratory tests, administering medications, and educating pet owners on proper animal care. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, along with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and animal husbandry. Proficiency in basic veterinary procedures, such as administering medications and taking X-rays, is essential.
