Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop X-rays
- Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring of patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and animal husbandry
- Proficiency in performing basic veterinary procedures, such as administering medications, taking X-rays, and performing laboratory tests
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during surgeries and procedures
- Ability to handle dogs and other animals safely and effectively
- Experience in kennel or pet grooming is a plus
