PIG CARE TECHNICIAN UNDER ANIMAL BREEDER CATEGORY (TN PROFESSIONAL VISA USMCA/NAFTA).
The facility is located near Kansas City.
The Pig care technician is responsible for the execution of sow farm protocols, which are based on activities that are routinely and repeatedly required on a farm such as: artificial insemination, administration of medications or supplements, assistance with farrowing problems, feeding, basic general facility maintenance, pressure washing, movement of sows and piglets, and maintaining detailed animal health records and all production records of sow and piglet events.
This position requires the technician to work every other weekend. Salary is dependent on experience Starting at $17.5/hour.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Mexican citizenship only.
- English is not required.
- Degree as Veterinarian.
- Cédula.
- Diploma or Kardex.
- Mexican Passport.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Must be able to work in cold, hot, humid dirty, and dusty environments.
- Excellent arm, hand, and leg motor skills: bending, twisting, pulling, pushing.
- Execute predefined protocols and standard operation procedures, like feeding, animal observation, disease recognition, accurate data compilation, observations, etc.
