Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform various diagnostic tests and procedures under the supervision of a veterinarian
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
• Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and recovery
• Collect and analyze laboratory samples
• Provide basic grooming services such as nail trimming
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition

Requirements:

• Certification or degree in veterinary technology or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
• Proficient in animal restraint techniques
• Experience with laboratory procedures and equipment
• Ability to perform animal catheterization and administer medications
• Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures
• Experience in dog training or pet care is beneficial
• Schedule is 8 hour day shift, with rotating weekends.
