We’re an AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited small animal hospital with Fear Free Certified staff. This means we go above and beyond the minimum state requirements to function as a hospital, and we want our team members to reach beyond the bare minimum as well. The right candidate will embrace leading and managing a team of technical team members as well as overseeing inventory. We offer health care and a retirement plan to all full-time employees. We do not board animals which means a quieter work environment and no after hours/on-call on nights or weekends. Our hospital is located in downtown Durham. Durham is known as the Bull City, the City of Medicine, the Tastiest Town in the South, and the Startup Capital of the South. It’s a two-hour drive from the beach, a three-hour drive from the Blue Ridge Mountains. We have just moved to a new facility on Broad Street! Our new facility offers state-of-the-art equipment which includes a dental suite with an Olympic dental table with digital dental x-rays, a roomy surgery suite with new anesthesia monitoring machines, a roomy treatment area, and windows in nearly every room of the hospital. We’re looking for the right Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team, and that person should provide a cover letter and resume either by mail, email, or in-person.

Salary: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Experience:
- Veterinary experience: 2 years (Required)
- Management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Veterinary technician: 2 years (Required)
- NC Licensed RVT/LVT/CT (Required)
