The Animal Therapy Center is currently looking to add more amazing talent to our rapidly growing practice! Our 5,000 sq ft stand-alone facility is centrally located in the Lehigh Valley. Our facility offers 2 underwater treadmills, a resistance pool, class 4 LASER, electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, thermal imaging, and a large gym with various exercise equipment.
Our work culture is team oriented, friendly, and inviting with an emphasis on patient care and client communication. The hospital is well-staffed with a full-time rehabilitation-certified veterinarian on site, 2 CVTs and a strong support staff to assist with daily therapies. We have an excellent clientele and a well-established referral base. Our ideal candidate will have a strong desire to expand their knowledge base and skill set, be enthusiastic, and enjoy working with our clients and their pets. Applicants with flexible schedules will take priority.
Our assistants help the therapists and doctors with appointments, coordinate patient care, and help our staff with prepping our therapy modalities. We currently utilize Impromed software for scheduling and payment - experience with Impromed not required.
Duties:
- Assist in the rehabilitation process for animals
- Handle and care for animals during their rehabilitation journey
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of hospital
- Assist CVTs/DVM with rehabilitation exercises and techniques as needed
- Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are used during procedures
-Greet clients and ensure a safe flow of animals throughout the hospital
-Light reception work including answering phone calls, checking patients in/out, processing payment and scheduling appointments
Skills:
- Experience with animal handling is preferred
- Knowledge of pet care practices and techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to animal rehabilitation
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Understanding of animal physiology and behavior
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
