If so, we are looking for you! We are opening a second location for our veterinary urgent care practice and are looking for candidates to work in Newark, DE. We are currently accepting applications for full-time Veterinary Receptionists. Our receptionists are a vital part of our team.
Typical duties include:
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering multiple telephone lines
- Checking clients in and out
- Assessing the needs of the patient and/or reason for the visit
- Obtaining medical/vaccine history of new patients
- Updating client information
- Client education
- Product sales
- Computer operation/data entry
- Financial transactions and basic accounting
- Front office area maintenance.
Successful applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a patient demeanor in dealing with the public, displaying a "people person" attitude. Our receptionists must be able to work evenings and weekends and are expected to master a certain amount of medical knowledge, as well as be able to answer client questions and communicate patient needs.
Applicants must be able to perform well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 1-year of veterinary experience is required. Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
