Veterinary Receptionist (Full-Time)
Columbus Veterinary Services is a thriving small animal practice seeking an experienced Receptionist who will lead our team in providing compassionate customer service. We need a bright individual who will welcome our valued clients and patients to our growing practice. Be the advocate for the client and patient as you build long-lasting relationships with owners, pets, animal shelter colleagues, and the community. Coordinate front desk tasks including scheduling, responding to phone and email correspondence, and manage emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Collaborate with a dynamic team that is committed to superior patient care at an affordable cost. Work in a beautiful, recently renovated clinic with a new surgery suite equipped with dental machine, radiography, in-house laboratory, and laser surgery capabilities.
A successful candidate has the following skills:
- Excels at prioritizing urgent client and patient needs, coordinating phone calls, and problem-solving required to provide excellent customer service.
- Knowledgeable in educating clients about available services, products, and preventative care.
- Creates positive, cooperative working relationships with teammates and clients to maximize productivity and maintain efficient workflow.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communicator.
- Manages invoices, collects payments, and prepares the end of day financial statements.
- Proactive at anticipating and addressing client and patient needs.
- Ability to maintain detailed, accurate records.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
