Veterinary Receptionist

Healthy Pets Veterinary Hospital is a full-service pet care facility located in San Francisco's West Portal community. Our doctors practice holistic modalities integrated with a complete range of medical, surgical, and dental services. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented full-time Front Office Person (FOP) to join our fun and dedicated team.

Full-time employees are required to work a minimum of 30 hours each work. Applicants interested in part time are encouraged to apply as well.

FOP’s perform a variety of roles in support of delivering the utmost customer service to clients; ensuring seamless client and doctor interactions; and processing accurate and timely transactions. FOP’s perform multiple positions including Reception, Pharmacy, and Zoner and are expected to rotate into each position as warranted by daily business needs.

Here’s a snapshot of the roles:
Reception
The Receptionist makes a top-notch first impression by greeting clients and providing a warm welcome to the hospital. He/she maintains the lobby and works with Zoner to ensure rooms are ready for clients. He/she also performs the majority of the data entry for the day – responding to emails, updating medical files, etc.

Pharmacy
The Pharmacist fills prescriptions and maintains the pharmacy for the day. He/she contacts clients to let them know that their meds are ready. The pharmacist also receives the majority of the phone calls and responds to faxes.

Zoner
The Zoner performs the majority of the non-sedentary work for the day. He/she rooms clients, cleans rooms and preps them for the next client, and takes care of lab samples.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years experience working in a veterinary hospital in a front office capacity
• Experience working with a veterinary software program
