Veterinary CSR
Veterinary Customer Service Representatives are responsible for supporting Rehm Animal Clinic doctors and administration to provide service excellence to clients and their pets while ensuring the fiscal integrity of the Hospital.
Customer Service Representatives are the face of the clinic as they are the first interaction the client has with us, as well as the patient. They are responsible for managing the appointment process as well as the financial transactions associated with the patient’s treatment. Once the patient arrives, they play a critical role in managing the client’s experience during the time the patient is in our care.
CSR’s main responsibilities are to be accurate and cheerful and to maintain a smooth, well-planned, and orderly flow of clients and patients.
REQUIRED DUTIES
- CSRs must be able to answer questions regarding the proper use of and benefits of veterinary products and services offered.
- Inform clients of credit policies and any outstanding balances due.
- Answer questions regarding the status of hospitalized patients as directed by the attending doctor.
- Respond to routine medical care questions, such as vaccination protocols for puppies and kittens, deworming, pre-surgery care requirements, flea treatment, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate complex information into appropriate formats based on audience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent Customer Service.
- Demonstrates ability to manage various priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to build and sustain strong working relationships.
- The ability to diffuse difficult situations and come to a successful resolution.
- Excellent organization and planning abilities.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
PREFERRED SKILLS, TRAINING/EDUCATION
- 1 year previous experience in a veterinary/medical client services setting.
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology.
