South Willamette Veterinary Clinic is a mixed animal practice located in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Western Oregon. Our practice is unique in that it offers the highest quality veterinary medicine for small animals and equine species, along with services for farm animals.
We boast a modern and spacious facility with professionals that have dedicated their entire professional careers to the expertise in their respective interests (equine general practice and small animal medicine and surgery).
What we are looking for….
The Client Service Representative (CSR) is an important member of the SWVC team, being the first point of contact for most of our clients and patients. The CSR works under the direct supervision of the manager. The main duties and responsibilities of the CSR is appointment scheduling, admitting, and discharging of patients, answering, and appropriately directing telephone calls, and documentation of medical records and conversations. The CSR team is also responsible for the clinic’s reception area cleanliness.
You should enjoy working with diverse people and animals and be friendly and flexible in the face of varying expectations from clients and co-workers. You must share a firm belief in the quality of care we provide and communicate this sense of assurance to clients. It is important to know and understand our services and recommendations and be able to clearly convey the value of the services to the clients. Excellent client communication skills and a commitment to outstanding client service are essential.
Job duties and responsibilities
- Greet Clients
- Appointment Scheduling
- Prepare appropriate forms and certificates for signature.
- Admit and Discharge patients.
- Medical record keeping procedures.
- Perform basic invoicing, billing, and payment on account procedures.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to veterinary medical emergencies by notifying the appropriate hospital personnel.
- Request records and information from other veterinary facilities.
- Maintain basic cleanliness and orderliness of a veterinary facility.
- Perform basic archival and retrieval of medical records, radiographs, lab reports, etc.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic sanitation and disinfection techniques of animal kennels and bedding, examination rooms, and hospital facilities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in veterinary reception and or veterinary assisting preferred.
