Southampton Veterinary Hospital is seeking a part time or full time Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist.
Candidate should be eager to learn, hardworking, responsible, and able to handle constructive criticism.
It would be preferred to have some experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Receptionist with pet animal (Dogs and Cats) handling skills.
Taking phone calls to schedule appointments, checking in and check out of pets/clients, able to learn and use Practice software program (Avimark).
Restraining/holding pet animals (Dogs and Cats) for the doctor.
Greeting clients and discussing medical treatments including vaccinations, testing procedures, etc.
Pulling up vaccinations and other medications
Running fecal analysis and other blood tests
Cleaning and maintenance of hospital
Helping Vet techs while positioning pets for Radiographs
Helping Vet techs and Doctors with monitoring of Pet's Anesthesia during surgery procedures.
Etc.
We are a small animal hospital known for our customer service. We get to make close connections with our clients and patients. We are a two doctor practice. We are currently open the following days:
Monday: 9a-7p
Tuesday: 9a-4p
Wednesday: 9a-3p
Thursday: 9a-7p
Friday: 9a-3p
Saturday: 9a-1p
We offer regular yearly exams, sick visits, radiographs, surgery including; spay/ neuter, dentistry, growth removals, etc.
