Family Pet Hospital is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, located in beautiful Vacaville, California. Our goal is to provide compassionate and quality medicine while striving to make an impact in our community and treat our patients/clients like family.
Who We're Looking For
We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Assistantto join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member. We are open Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We schedule our technicians either for full day, or half days of 8:30AM - 1PM or 1PM - 5:30PM. Ideally, we are looking for full-time assistants, but we are open to working with students' schedules, as long as they have availability for 2 full days or multiple half days.

The hourly pay band for this position is $16.50-20.00 based on experience, certifications, licensure, education, and location.
