The ideal applicant would be self-motivated, have great communication skills, be computer savvy, detail-oriented, and able to handle high-stress situations. Candidates should have experience with restraining patients and caring for dogs and cats.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Restrain patients for various procedures, treatments, and exams
- Perform blood draws and IV catheter placement on patients
- Assist in pack prep with cleaning and sterilizing instruments
- Assist Technicians with anesthetic induction
- Assist with safe patient transport within hospital
- Assist with patient treatments as directed by your Surgical Operations Manager
- Help with end-of-day duties and ease transition from day shift to night shift
- Maintain hospital cleanliness; Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties
- Maintain sterility and proper etiquette when working in Surgery Suite
- Assist with patient intake and discharge
- Restock hospital as needed
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures, run in-house labwork, and prepare lab samples for outgoing labwork
- Assist other technicians when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
