```Job Summary```
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our animal patients and supporting our veterinary staff. ```Responsibilities```
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical suites for procedures
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Monitor vital signs of animals under anesthesia
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and procedures
- Assist with client education on topics such as medication administration and preventive care
```Qualifications```
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility needed
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and laboratory procedures
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Ability to catheterize animals and perform basic laboratory tests
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with team oriented mindset
- Ability to learn, be guided and respond positively to constructive criticism and improve on skill sent
- Strong work-ethic and ability to provide commitment to a growing veterinary environment.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
