Full-time: 35-38 hours Monday-Friday with rotating weekends
Pay: Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $15-17 / hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

We are a busy 7-doctor practice located in the lovely city of Austin, Texas! We nurture not only our clients and their pets, but also our staff. We are looking for an exceptional individual who has strong medical skills and who thrives within a busy, friendly team. Our assistants educate clients, assist the veterinarians in exams and procedures, monitor anesthesia and surgical procedures, perform in house lab work, and much, much more! The work schedule generally is limited to four (4) or (5) work shifts per week.

Role Responsibilities:
We need dependable, caring, hard-working, animal lovers to start asap. The Veterinary Technician Assistant Position involves all care of animals which includes assisting technicians, walking, feeding, medicating, surgery packs, anesthesia recovery, and monitoring. This position is also responsible for the general cleanliness of the hospital and kennel.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- 1+ Year of Animal Handling experience highly preferred
- Be punctual and considerate of those around them
- Understand and embrace emotional intelligence
- Communicate effectively and with confidence!
- Be resilient and ready to tackle any challenges head on
- Have a sincere desire to help pets and their people
