Job Description
Position Overview: The Vessel Welder will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our vessels. This position requires expertise in MIG and Flux-Cored welding methods, as well as a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
Key Responsibilities:
Welding Operations:
- Utilize MIG and Flux-Cored welding techniques to assemble and weld vessel components according to engineering specifications.
- Ensure the integrity of welds, paying close attention to quality and precision.
Blueprint Interpretation:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to execute accurate welds.
- Work closely with the engineering team to understand and meet project requirements.
Material Preparation:
- Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, cutting, and fitting components.
- Select and set up welding equipment based on the type and thickness of materials being used.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Welder, specifically in vessel fabrication.
- Proficiency in MIG and Flux-Cored welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in welding work.
- Knowledge of different metals and alloys commonly used in vessel fabrication.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
