Primoris Engineering is searching for an experienced Vessel Engineer to support our office in Tyler, Texas.
The Vessel Engineer is responsible for collaborating with other engineers, designers, and clients regarding the requisitioning, basic mechanical design, and analysis of equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, reactors, internals, filters, and tanks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Completing mechanical equipment data sheets
- Reviewing client specifications
- Technical bid tabs
- Requisitioning and supporting requisitions
- Reviewing designs/drawings
- Rerating of vessels
- Utilizing the pressure vessel software Compress for analysis and design
- Troubleshooting for simple and complex field related issues
- Engaging directly with other engineers, designers, clients, and process licensor to resolve technical concerns
- Responsible for schedule, quality, and budget of the equipment they are requisitioning.
Required Qualifications
- BSME, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of codes and standards of ASME, API, ASTM, PIP, and ANSI.
- Mechanical experience with other heat transfer equipment, rotating equipment, and specialty items a plus.
