Form of workThe Venue Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for maintaining and driving business for Ft Sumpter Tours.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with attention to detail, strong planning and problem solving.
- Manage event software system TripleSeat where leads and events are tracked. \
- Maintain current documents that service clients like email templates, event contracts and event details.
- Track invoicing for payment of events and bar service.
- Manage all bookings for events, handling inquiries from clients having an excellent understanding of the venue's capabilities.
- Maintain Caterer relationship providing them with event details for a smooth execution. Dock location, load in time, and clean galley.
- Report to Director of Marine Operations on any issues with the boat's interior regarding cleanliness, safety or equipment.
- Ensure bar contract deliverables are met by making sure the event is staffed, bar cleanliness, stocked with contractual offerings, fruit, liquor, wine, beer, mixers.
- Schedule security for the safety of crew and passengers.
- Schedule DJs.
- Work with Executive Cruise Director in Kronos to help manage charter staff and event pay.
- Design floor plans based on clients and caterers needs. Ensure deckhands can properly and quickly execute.
- Schedule site visits with clients and boat crew.
- NPS Summer Sunset Cruise liaison between Aramark and caterer. Schedule on site staff.
- School Pizza Parties - coordinate Aramark bar and staff, Duvall, Pizza, Photogenics, DJ.
- Work with Corporate Marketing team with regards to current photography and videos as well as coordinate new photo & video shoots
- Greet guests, answer questions, and take in-coming phone calls.
- Responsible for working with Steven Mutter with social media Marketing/Advertising including FB, Insta, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
- Capture and use graphically, pleasing photos for social media.
- Develop new ideas/ways to Advertise and Market.
- Attend CVB Travel Council meeting and Charleston Hoteliers Luncheons monthly.
- Work with Patriots Point USS Yorktown to insure we are listed in their monthly newsletters.
previous experience in Catering Sales and Marketing or related field.
bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing or related field
Possesses strong interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain composure, and the ability to make quick decisions.
Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must work well independently.
