Here's a summary of responsibilities:
Responsible for the set-up, tear-down, and maintenance of the CSOPTC Venues - Sports Center I, Sports Center II, Velodrome, CSOPTC meeting rooms, storage areas, open spaces, shared spaces, and outdoor areas - following established policy. Serve as the secondary contact (after CSOPTC Operations) for approved user groups (e.g., NGB, USOPC, and community groups) for venue set-up, usage, and maintenance questions. Provide excellent customer service to all visitors and users.
Here's how you'll have an impact:
  • Perform the set-up, tear-down, operation, and maintenance of all CSOPTC Venues: Sports Center I, Sports Center II, Velodrome, CSOPTC meeting rooms, storage areas, open spaces, shared spaces, and outdoor areas. Conduct periodic inspections and assist with tracking inventory of the sports venues, equipment, and meeting rooms as outlined by established policy. Report any concerns to the Venues Management Team. Ensure that meeting rooms, gyms, hallways, etc., look presentable and professional for users and guests at all times.
  • Ensure a high level of sanitation and safety is maintained in all CSOPTC Venues and Velodrome areas. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all venue and equipment operations, safety requirements, and maintenance needs. Create work orders and report maintenance problems via daily shift reports, safety hazards, and equipment repair needs to the Venues Management Team.
  • Exhibit friendly customer service to all users. Enforce all Venues and Velodrome Operations policies, rules, and operating procedures.
  • Assist with the operations and management of CSOPTC events.
  • Plan and assist the Venues Team with department responsibilities as needed, communicating clearly and thoroughly via daily shift reports, phone calls, and meetings.
  • Provide high safety awareness around the facilities, addressing concerns with the Venues Manager, especially during special events when attendance is high. Utilize Red Cross certification in CPR and First Aid for emergencies at any CSOPTC venue. Act as a second responder to blood-borne pathogen contamination or other emergencies as needed.

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
  • High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • American Red Cross CPR/AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications (or ability to get upon hire)
  • Forklift Operation certification (or ability to get upon hire)
  • Some experience with or willingness to learn about athletic equipment set-up, dismantling, and movement, including national and international specifications, electronic timing/scoring systems, PA/sound systems, audiovisual systems, lighting systems, and environmental systems
  • Ability to interact with users and staff at all levels
  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Non-traditional work hours on occasion, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call time
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential job function

  • This is a hub-based role that will regularly work from the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center

Here's some more information you need to know:
  • Hiring Pay Range: $15.33 to $18.02 per hour.
  • There are (2) openings for this position.
  • This part-time, non-exempt position is intended to work 20 hours per week.
  • Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program at a 5% target. This program is subject to change or elimination by the USOPC at any time at its sole discretion.
