What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the oversight of Vendor Management software and Vendor Due Diligence requirements.
  • Understand the vendor onboarding process and due diligence requirements.
  • Provides guidance and direction to business units when a new vendor is being onboarded to ensure that all required documentation is collected during the due diligence or review.
  • Provide advice and guidance to business units and teams as appropriate regarding VM best-practice to secure optimal value from third-party relationships.
  • Interact with vendors to answer questions or convey what is needed from them during onboarding and due diligence.
  • Communicate vendor performance issues and due diligence items to appropriate parties both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring vendor compliance with company standards and credit union regulations
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure contracts are fair, compliant, and in the company's best interest.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with vendor relationships. This includes assessing potential risks related to financial stability, data security, compliance, and business continuity.

What we need from you:

  • A College degree from four-year College/university or 3-4 years of banking regulatory and/or compliance experience
  • Prior experience managing and working with vendors preferred.
  • Strong understanding of vendor management best practices, processes and strategies. This includes experience in vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective coordination with vendors and business units. The ability to convey complex information clearly is crucial.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and evolving vendor relationships
  • Understanding of contract terms, monitoring activities, and required due diligence.
  • PC literacy is required, including Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • A confident professional, who is detail oriented with the ability to multitask and work autonomously and/or with a team as required.
  • Willing to work flexible hours when required, exhibit a cooperative spirit, willingness to work as part of a team, and a commitment to member service.
  • Estimated salary range for this position - $53,000-$63,000

Work From Home Requirements:

  • Able to dedicate a quiet space for daily work that is free of sound interruptions.
  • All equipment will be provided by Jovia (Computer, Monitor, Headset).
