Job Responsibilities:
1. Stocking vending equipment and condiment stands
A. Fill snack, coffee, sandwich, bottle and can drink machines
B. Fill mustard, catsup, salt, pepper, spoons and food trays daily
C. Fill dollar bill changers with coin as needed
2. Clean all vending equipment
A. Keep machines clean inside and out with mild detergents and windex
B. Keep drain buckets emptied in coffee machines
C. Empty coffee ground buckets in coffee machines.
3. Load route truck each afternoon and morning.
A. Requires bending and lifting cases of product from ground to waist level and in some cases above head.
B. Product to be loaded includes cases of can and bottle drinks, boxes containing candy, chips, and other snack items, and coffee and other related items.
C. Money and sandwich racks or coolers are loaded each morning.
4. Record product placed in machines and record inventory of machines when collecting money.
5. Pull money from machines and return to office on designated days.
6. Drive route vehicle each day. A valid Mississippi or Tennessee driver’s license is required. Actual driving time varies from 2 to 4 hours daily.
Lifting and bending is required to place product into the machines and onto route trucks. The single heaviest items being cases of 24 bottle drinks weighing approximately 36 lbs. to 38 lbs. and can drinks weighing 20 lbs. to 21 lbs. Bags of money weighing 16½ lbs. to 18½ lbs. are handled very frequently. Handtrucks are provided to transport product from route truck into the vending area. Modifications can be made by the individual by carrying less items in each load to reduce the weight per load, however all product and money must be lifted from truck to place on handtruck and money must be lifted from vendors and placed on handtruck.
On some routes the route person must be able to pull a handtruck load of product up a flight of stairs.
