MobilityWorks is currently seeking a talented Commercial Vehicle Consultant to drive our commercial sales efforts. As a Commercial Vehicle Sales Consultant, your main objective will be to generate sales and provide expert guidance to businesses and organizations in their selection and purchase of commercial vehicles. Drawing on your extensive knowledge of commercial vehicles, industry trends, and customer needs, you will deliver tailored solutions, foster strong customer relationships, and contribute to the overall success of our commercial Vehicle Sales department.


Your key responsibilities will include:


Customer Consultation and Needs Assessment:


Engaging with business owners, fleet managers, and organizations to fully understand their commercial vehicle requirements.

Conducting comprehensive needs assessments to determine the most suitable vehicles based on payload capacity, cargo space, and other specific needs.

Offering expert advice and guidance on vehicle options, configurations, features, and upfitting possibilities.


Product Knowledge and Demonstrations:


Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of various commercial vehicle models.

Staying updated on industry trends, advancements, safety regulations, and emissions standards.

Conducting product demonstrations to showcase the features, capabilities, and benefits of different commercial vehicles.


Sales Process Facilitation:


Managing the complete sales process from initial contact to delivery, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.

Assisting customers with vehicle selection, pricing, financing options, lease agreements, and trade-in evaluations.

Collaborating with the sales team, finance department, and service technicians to ensure efficient and timely sales transactions.


Customer Relationship Management:


Building and nurturing strong relationships with customers, understanding their unique business needs, and becoming their trusted advisor.

Proactively following up with customers, providing ongoing support, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Maintaining regular communication to strengthen customer loyalty and generate referrals.


Market Research and Business Development:


Staying informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the commercial vehicle industry.

Identifying potential customers and market segments to develop targeted sales strategies.

Attending industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand the customer base and promote brand awareness.


Collaboration and Coordination:


Collaborating with internal teams, such as finance, service, and inventory management, to ensure a smooth and efficient sales process.

Coordinating vehicle deliveries, inspections, and upfitting services with service technicians and external vendors.

Providing feedback to management regarding customer needs, product improvements, and market opportunities.


Reporting and Documentation:


Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management in the CRM system.

Preparing sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management review.

Ensuring compliance with all necessary paperwork, contracts, and legal requirements.


To excel in this role, you should possess:


Proven experience in commercial Vehicle Sales or a related industry.

Strong consultative selling skills, capable of identifying customer needs and delivering effective solutions.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.

Proficiency in using CRM systems, sales software, and other relevant tools.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced sales environment.

A results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
