Job description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Prep the line for production.
  • Monitor production runs to insure acceptable quality levels.
  • Support the line including feeder setup and verification.
  • Will operate SMT screen printer.
  • Check foot straps for ESD compliance as needed
  • Follows ISO process sheet for the operation.
  • Adheres to all quality and safety guidelines
  • Participate in performance feedback
  • Places units in cycle oven
  • Receives materials from stockroom and verifies the correct materials.
  • Loads reels into the machine per the product being produced.
  • Loads programs into the machine per the product being produced.
  • Assist in machine change-over
  • Will assist in maintaining department records and reports
  • Need to develop good understanding of department processes
  • Assure correct placement of all components through periodic visual inspection
  • Log defects and errors into the traceability system
  • Assure that non-conforming material is dispositioned appropriately
  • Communicate equipment or program issues to engineering and maintenance support in the event that they cannot be resolved at the operator level
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Near vision 75% or more of the time
  • Far vision 75% or more of the time
  • Accurate depth perception 75% or more of the time
  • Ability to perceive spoken voice 75% or more of the time
  • Comprehensible speech 75% or more of the time
  • Frequent ability to hear warning signals over 70dB
  • Continuous exposure to moving mechanical parts hazard
  • Continuous inspection of products/objects/materials
  • Frequent data analysis, simple decision making, problem solving, basic counting/addition/subtraction
  • Frequent ability to comprehend written language for basic instruction/safety rules, technical/professional materials, the ability to write/edit reports, the ability to comprehend verbal sentences/instructions and technical/complex information, verbal communication in English
  • PPE Required: ESD smock, ESD heel straps, safety glasses/goggles, wrist strap when sitting

Technical
  • Knowledge of quality procedures
  • Knowledge of safety policy
  • Previous SMT machine operation experience preferred
  • Ability to keep department records as needed
  • Able to read blueprints and sketches
  • Knowledge of material tolerances
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to be precise and detailed in work
  • Able to successfully complete position certification course
  • Able to read and follow production processes to complete the duties as called out on the visual work instructions, as well as those assigned by your leadership team
  • Able and willing to cross-train into other production positions which may have different technical or physical requirements

  • Able and willing to contribute to team effort
  • Ability to be flexible with hours and positions
  • Organized - promoting good housekeeping efforts

Communication
  • Ability to communicate within the KEI team environment
  • Good verbal and listening skills
