Position Description: Vehicle Network Systems Engineer & Analyst
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vehicle Network System Engineer Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing Vehicle Network Systems to ensure optimal functionality, performance, and security. Your expertise should extend to daily evaluations, early warning response, familiarity with vectored networking tools, and the ability to develop automation scripts for detecting anomalies within Vehicle Network data logs.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Evaluation:
- Conduct daily evaluations of Vehicle Network Systems, monitoring performance metrics, and identifying potential anomalies.
- Implement proactive measures to ensure the continuous health and functionality of Vehicle Network Systems.
- DTCs and Fault Codes:
- Expertise in analyzing and interpreting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and vehicle fault codes.
- Develop strategies to efficiently diagnose and address issues based on DTCs and fault code analysis.
- Automation Scripting:
- Develop automation scripts for detecting anomalies within Vehicle Network data logs.
- Implement continuous monitoring solutions to proactively identify irregularities and potential issues.
- System Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of Vehicle Network Systems, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Design and Implementation: Develop and implement effective solutions for Vehicle Network Systems, considering industry standards and best practices.
- Vehicle testing, ECU software flashing, Generic Diagnostics, ECU configuration and troubleshooting.
- Utilize CANalyzer and Diagnostic Engineering Tool to monitor and troubleshoot CAN bus and ECU diagnostics
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Vehicle Network Systems, utilizing insights from DTCs, fault code analysis, and vectored networking tools to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate and optimize Vehicle Network Systems.
- Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures for Vehicle Network Systems, addressing potential vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for Vehicle Network Systems, including design specifications, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Testing: Conduct thorough testing of Vehicle Network Systems to validate functionality, performance, and security measures.
- Upgrades and Maintenance: Stay current with industry trends and technologies, recommending and implementing upgrades and maintenance procedures as necessary.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing Vehicle Network Systems.
- Strong understanding of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and in-Vehicle Networking.
- Proficient in diagnostic tools and methodologies, with expertise in handling DTCs and fault codes.
- Familiarity with vector networking tools such as CANalyzer, CANape, and CANoe.
- Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR).
- Experience with automotive Ethernet technologies.
- Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP).
