Your Impact
• Responsible for the design of client network configuration using a hybrid of private and existing leased networks.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, and processes.
• Responsible for coordinating the integration of new devices to a client network and working with vendors to stay informed on network products, services, protocols, and standards.
• Evaluate new network hardware for deployment, support firmware releases, software upgrades, and support configuration management of all equipment.
• Develop procedures and configurations for ITS equipment used on the network for optimal performance and uptime as well as ensuring system availability and reliability.
• Develop new specifications for equipment procurement such as network switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Conduct research on network products, protocols, and standards to stay informed on developments in the networking industry.

Your Impact

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree.
- 3-5 years working in the networking industry.
- Experience working with network switches, routers, firewalls, IP scheme development, integration of network devices to traffic management software and systems.
- Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP model.
- Understanding of networking protocols (i.e., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
- Able to interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
- Proficient with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Experienceworking in Transportation or Traffic Operations Centers
- Advanced Network Certifications in Cisco (CCNA, CCNP)
