Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic evaluations of patients using Vascular Ultrasound equipment
- Obtain and record patient history, including relevant symptoms and medical conditions
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions
- Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, ensuring all necessary information is captured
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Vascular Technology or related field
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing vascular sonography procedures
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment
- Ability to accurately interpret test results and communicate findings to physicians
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to assess vital signs and respond appropriately in emergency situations
